Tristar Strawberries are hardy, with medium-sized, deep red fruit and a glossy, attractive shape. They can be grown anywhere in the US for at least one season, although strawberries planted in the ground in zones 9 to 11 may have trouble coming back the next year because they won't get their normal dormancy cycle. Blooms in mid-summer the first year, followed by a heavy early spring crop in the second year.

- Tristar strawberries are a "day neutral" variety - they can produce berries from June through October

- Shipping begins mid-March according to growing zone and continues into June

- Plant as soon as possible after receipt
- Water the plants well at planting time and then once more within the week
- In zones 3 to 5, bin-grown strawberries will not come back the following season; they should be considered annuals
